It is perhaps the most important meal of the day and at Sassafras, we serve breakfast right into the afternoon—until 2pm—seven days a week.
A traditionalist might go for Sassafras’ signature big breakfast with beef and basil sausages, while a vegetarian might opt for our mushrooms and smoked tomato with grilled ahloumi, sweet potato, red onion and rocket salad. We also have really good chilli corn cakes with hummus and crispy bacon, eggs benedict and oven roasted muesli. See in store/our facebook page for our weekly specials.
Lunch at Sassafras is as simple or as substantial as you want—our own pies, sweet potato and salmon cakes, toasted Turkish and sourdough sandwiches, salads, roast pumpkin lasagne, grilled rib fillet staek sandwich with balsamic onions and soup in winter. Eat in or take back to work. We’ve also just added more fresh ready take away options avilable monday – friday.
We serve Grinders coffee and T2 tea from melbourne.
Choose from green tea, red tea, white tea or your favourite black tea. One of our favourites is T2 Buddhas Tears, a delicious white ta. Chai is also a Sassafras speciality—including our red chai made with milk or soy milk.
Sassafras’ famous sassi lassi (mango, banana + strawberry blended with yoghurt, honey + ice).
Fresh fruit juices including beetroot, apple, carrot + ginger, strawberry, pineapple + mint and mango, passionfruit, blueberry + orange. Or you choose your own combination.
Our frappes include banana, mango + coconut milk and refreshing pineapple + mint.
Smoothies—choose from banana + parsley, mango, banana and strawberry.
House-made cakes – lemon yoghurt, whiskey mocha, pistachio and rosewater loaf, daily muffins and we always make a gluten-free option or two when we bake so nobody ever has to miss out on a cake!
